Life can be HARD. Sometimes it can chew you up and spit you out, leaving you feeling less than great about yourself. It seems that women, especially, have been feeling the burden of the mental load, and often end up exhausted. There has been a rise in women who are booking self-love sessions, looking for a confidence boost and a bit of empowerment. Who doesn’t love that?!
This amazing woman sought me out to capture a time in her life that was full of change. An in-between, of sorts. We spent our time together chatting, laughing, and just FEELING. It was incredible! Every woman deserves to have an empowerment session that makes her feel BEAUTIFUL and STRONG.
When is the last time you connected with yourself? YOU are brilliant. Let’s capture it.

The L Family | A Fall Family Session
I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I just love this little family! I feel so honored to be able to capture their beauty and joy every year, and this year was no exception. We had an absolutely gorgeous day. GORGEOUS. I had never been to this location before, and that can be a bit unsettling, but I totally trusted Allison, as she’s not stranger to photography (and art!!). You might remember her for being the talent behind Go Gray Artwork. She is an exceptional artist and, if you haven’t already, you should definitely check her out!!
The spot turned out to be perfect, too! See for yourself!
The L Family | A Fall Family Session
This was my third year photographing the delightful L family. Watching their precious daughter grow is just amazing. I know I have mentioned this before, but mom is an incredible talented artist. In addition to her own shop, her work has been featured in numerous stores across the country!
Check out some of the images from this year’s session. We had such a great time!!
Kasey | Senior Team
Another senior interview! YAY! I met Kasey many years ago when she and her sister were dancers at Allegro Dance Arts. I had the pleasure of capturing her older sister, Lucy, a couple years ago, too! Kasey and I connected, once again, and ended up doing CrossFit together, which was a lot of fun! She was quite the competitor! Now, here we are…wrapping up her senior year. It’s true what they say…time flies.
Meet: KASEY!

Senior Sunday | Kasey
We had so much fun during Kasey’s senior session! I just had to share a couple of her for Senior Sunday!
The L Family | A Fall Family Session
I am a really lucky lady. Not only do I have a super cool job, but I get to work with amazing people. You may remember me posted about my cousin, Allison, last year. Well, I had the pleasure of working with her sweet family again this year! They chose a beautiful vineyard as their location, and it could not have been more stunning! They chose beautiful colors and little L was ALL smiles. It was such a great evening!
The S Family | A Fall Family Session
The S family invited me to their home for a family session this fall. The weather was questionable, so we moved most of the session inside. This sweet little family played games, read stories, and cuddled while I captured these moments. It was so much fun! I loved watching them interact with one another.
The R Family | A Newborn Session
As a follow-up to yesterday’s maternity session post, we have that super sweet newborn session! This time, the session took place at the client’s home. While there is always a bit of an adjustment period in welcoming a new little one, I think the older two handled it well! There were a couple brief moments, but that’s to be expected. The important thing is, it ended well, and we got the shots. ;-)
Introducing….Mr. W!!
The R Family | A Maternity Session
Is there a better way to capture the magic of a pregnancy than by a session on the water at sunset?! This amazing family met me, one evening, to capture the last moments as a family of four. Soon after this session, they would welcome a beautiful baby into their loving home. This mother is one of the most radiant I’ve ever seen. Each image with her exudes love and light. She’s incredible!
Kaleb | KRP Real Senior
Kaleb came to me for his senior pictures, during an exceptionally cold day. He braved the arctic air for the shots, though! What a guy!
The G Family | A Fall Family Session
I have known this awesome family for about 18 years. When I say that “out loud” it seems hard to believe! I remember when they got married, announced that they were going to be parents, shared the news of baby #2….all of it! It seems unreal that their “littles” are now so grown up! Time sure flies when you’re having fun!!
Lauren | KRP Real Senior
Meet Lauren! She was one of the KRP Real Seniors for the class of 2019! This member of the Senior Team is a pretty amazing individual. I’m WAY behind in blogging, so I apologize for the delay, but, without further ado…here is LAUREN!!
What high school do you attend?:
Mercyhurst Prep
If you've chosen the school or university you're planning to attend, and been accepted, please share! :
I will attend either Duquesne University or Michigan State University in the fall.
(She chose Duquesne!!!)
What are your post-high school plans? If you've chosen a school, what will your major be?:
I will be majoring in Nursing
What accomplishments are you most proud of this year?:
My senior year has brought many amazing accomplishments! I was accepted into nursing school at the university’s in which I applied. I won the district 10 girls soccer championship for AA and have been lucky enough to serve as president of my school’s fight against breast cancer club.
What was your favorite part of being a KRP Real Senior?:
I LOVED being a KRP Real Senior! I was a little nervous in the beginning because I never had professional photos done but it was such a fun time. Kelly made it really easy and it was so much fun to do group sessions with Ashley and Mylena along with my individual shots at so many beautiful locations.
The S Family | A Fall Family Session
I just LOVE this family. I’ve known them for many years, now, but watching them grow together never gets old. I really enjoy watching their interactions…they all get along SO well! They braved this cold day, and I think the results were worth it!
Mend On The Move
I had the fantastic opportunity to do a shoot for an amazing non-profit organization called Mend On The Move. They work to help empower and employ women who are abuse survivors. If you are not familiar with their mission and work, please head to their site! Part of what these women do is make some really amazing jewelry. Each piece has a story or message, AND the proceeds go to a great cause!! PLEASEE check them out!!!
SENIOR TEAM SEARCH!
Hello, lovelies! It’s that time of year again…the annual KRP Senior Team search! I am accepting applications for those graduating in 2020 from ALL local high schools. If you’re interested in applying to represent KRP, please message me and I’ll send you the information. I am SO excited about this year! AHHH!
Hillary | KRP Real Senior
I had the delight of working with this wonderful young lady just one year after doing her sister’s senior session. I can’t tell you just how great it was to work with both girls and their mom. They are SUCH awesome people! We chanced the weather and it ended up working out perfectly. A little bit moody, a lot amazing. I am in LOVE with the results!!
Tucker | KRP Real Senior
I had the chance to spend an evening this past summer doing a senior session with Tucker. Not only is he a hard working, well-spoken young man, but he’s also a pretty fantastic Cross Country athlete. At the time of the session my son was on the fence about joining the XC team, himself, and after talking to Tucker and his mom about it, I knew I could convince him to give it a “go”. My son ended up joining the team and would tell me about how one of the really nice high school boys would help the middle school students and encourage them. I don’t know how many of you spend time with seniors, but let me tell you…THAT is awesome. He made such a good impression on P and I am so grateful for that.
In addition to being kind and athletic, he also knew how to work the camera. He pretty much rocked this session (so did Jackson!)!
Baby N | A Lifestyle Newborn Session
Mr. N made his debut into the world right after mom, Blair, squeezed in her maternity session. Thanks for waiting, N! Once mom, dad, and baby were all settled in at home, I spent some time with them, doing a lifestyle newborn session. His little sleeping self was SO precious. Not to mention…THAT HAIR!!!! I couldn’t even. Check out these images from this sweet session!
Blair | A Maternity Session
When my good friend Blair told us she was going to have a baby, there was no doubt in my mind that she was going to be a stunning mama-to-be. She took such great care of that growing baby, as well as herself. You’d find her in the gym right up until the week she delivered! Around 39 weeks, she mentioned maybe we should do a maternity session, so we got right to it! Little did we know, she’d give birth to an incredible little boy just 3 days later!!! Isn’t she amazing?! Stay tuned for the newborn session, as well!
Libby | KRP Real Senior
On the coldest day of the year (or maybe ever), I was thinking about a session I did on the HOTTEST day of the year! Libby, a Meadville senior, braved some major heat (in her jeans and long sleeves!) to get some shots with her horse, Moose. We found a couple shaded areas so it wouldn’t be quite so overwhelming, and they both did great. I had so much fun with these two!!
